Our journey began in 2016 with a vision to bridge the digital divide in Kosovo, while formally registered in 2018 as a non-governmental organization. Through partnerships and community engagement, we have already achieved significant milestones, such as the successful pilot programs in select schools and the initial online professional development (OPD) programs for educators.
Over the years, we have produced a variety of analyses, publications, and digital education reports. We have organized training, seminars, conferences, roundtables, and meetings that have significantly contributed to the development of digital education. These achievements have laid a strong foundation for our future efforts.
Today, KCDE is engaged in four main areas: a) research and advocacy; b) development of virtual programs; c) training and education; and d) academic research.
Mission & Purpose
We believe that a digitally literate population is essential for creating a prosperous and equitable society, and we are committed to advocating for the integration of digital technologies in Kosovo’s education sector to ensure that every learner is prepared for success in the digital age.
In the next 10 years, KCDE will be the most prestigious organization in Kosovo recognized for quality and reliability in digital education research and virtual programs development. KCDE will play an active role in education and social development and will build partnerships, networks, and alliances in the region, the EU, and the USA.
KCDE’s vision is a future where every person in Kosovo has the skills and resources needed to succeed in a digital world.
